Volkswagen Tiguan: driving test and video

The first generation Tiguan was successful, but also long on the market. The highest time for generation two, so, that we became detached in the Urban Jungle of Berlin.

Well yes actually we left as quickly as possible to Berlin, because after two sets of traffic lights, we were ready with the large start-stop test. It works, although the conclusion for the DSG-breakers equipped diesel and gasoline is that they are both the first meters which loom out of the starting blocks. Model year, transmission
The range of engines is pretty wide, from 110 hp up to 240 hp, which both diesels. On the basismotoriseringen (110 hp, diesel, 125 hp petrol) four-wheel drive is not available, and from 180 hp is the standard. Not all engine variants find their way to the Netherlands and certainly not for all engine variants will be very popular in the Netherlands. Or actually: a Tiguan with a big engine and/or four-wheel drive with yellow plates is just as rare as a GT3 RS with 150,000 km on the counter. Really inefficient, they can’t call it, but the Dutch government would prefer that your labrador puppy’s as firelighters for the BBQ, then that you are a SUV to buy with all-wheel drive.
The starting price of 28.900 euro for the manual 1.4 TSI with front wheel drive is quite common, but the 2.0 TSI with DSG automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, runs counter to 43.290 euro. There is a bucket CO2-straftax on where the dogs no bread of desires, while the block in practice, not so very inefficient. Diesels also go quickly to the 40 mille, except for the 2.0 TDI with a whopping 110 hp. The tentative conclusion is thus that most of the Tiguans with a 1.4 TSI will see, but that is also when the others in the segment so that actually only the base engine is sold and all-wheel drive is great fun for in the folder.
Probably meet both 1.4 TSI variants (125 and 150 hp) are also pretty good in a Tiguan. The vehicle’s 2.0 TSI with 180 hp accelerated the Tiguan to nice speeds. With some urging, we picked as the top of 208 km/h, it feels like all some loom to through the rather long gears. However, even the 180 hp Tiguan in 7,7 seconds and the 100 should be able to pick up. There are even faster variants with 220 and 240-hp, but also for those engines is that they are not high on the wish-list of the Dutch buyer.
Goodies
The Tiguan inhibits itself for pedestrians and predecessors, has Apple Carplay (video explanation) and Android Auto, WI-fi for the passengers so all the way back at the time. If you really the site in want or may only give the impression of being then the offroad package is a good investment. For 312 euro (or even less depending on the version) you get other bumpers, black side sills and wielkastranden and a skidplate for. We can still afzeikerig conclude with the statement that the offroad package is also available on the voorwielaandrijvers, but this we do the Tiguan deficit. It is a competitively priced, also sharp, contoured, easy-driving SUV that technology sets the tone in the segment. That much sharper starting price under 30 mille is, will Volkswagen no money.
