Outlander PHEV is een verkooptopper
Research by statistics netherlands shows that on January 1 of this year, twice as many plug-in hybrids rondreden as a year earlier. But that is not because we are of the environment.

Why not? Simple. The best-selling car with a form of electric drive (hybrid, plug-in hybrid or full electric) is the Mitsubishi Outlander. The indicated normverbruik is according to Mitsubishi, just not 2 liters per 100 kilometers. In practice it consumes about Outlander, however, six litres of fuel. A plug-in hybrid SUV is also the largest moving middle finger to our kooky tax system.

It proves yet again that we don’t flash to the environment, and even more so to our wallet. And that wallet, forced us last year (when we were still 7% tax) for twice as many cars with a form of electric propulsion to buy, reports the Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS). In total, there are 60,000 (plug-in) hybrid and electric cars on the Dutch roads. And just to further underline that it is only to the money goes: a third of all these cars was in december sold! The total number of (plug-in) hybrid and electric cars is now at 211,000 units, taking into account im – and export, and demolition. Approximately 5% of these cars is fully electric, over 36% is a plug-in and the rest is a hybrid without a plug.

The most popular was the Outlander PHEV, there were there last year 8350 added to our road system. The second place is for the Golf GTE (8100), followed by the Auris Hybrid (7050), A3 e-tron (4350) and Mercedes C 350 E (4150). The sale of conventional hybrids took over, there is much less rapidly: by 10% compared to the year before.
