Perhaps the best Golf that Volkswagen ever built.
In 1990 decided Volkswagen Golf II to wave with a four-wheel drive version. No cowardly car with the rear wheels, it also happens to be pan, but a capable 4×4 that is also something can perform on the road. Therefore, switched Volkswagen specialists Steyr-Daimler-Puch, which among other things also a big finger in the pap had in the development of the Mercedes G-Class.
The Ripples were first in Wolfsburg in standaardtrim produced and were then transported to Austria to be converted to Country Synchro. They were integral drive, they were eighteen inches higher on the legs set, and got the car, a bullbar and a spare wheel on the back. Just a real off road vehicle! It goes without saying that this laborious way of producing the Golf Country Synchro is not cheaply made and that translated into moderate sales. Only 7735 copies would be built there. Here more about this special Golf.
That makes the car a rare youngtimer, but completely untraceable, they are not. On our own Marketplace came @jvt (thank you!) this copy against. The Wave dates from 1992 and is therefore one of the last copies. On the counter a healthy 141.000 km, but judging by the photos, there is good for the Tonka -like the car according to the ad is called – provided. That in combination with the rarity translates in a solid asking price of 10,000 euros.
