MINI-zonder-opties
First, it was Volkswagen that had to order gebietste auto parts. The stolen RNS310 and RNS510’s flooded the internet. Also, for example, headlights of Porsche’s and interiors of the 3 series cars were weggegrist by the base. Now it is obviously MINI turn.

They say that MINI’s a little bald in the factory and that you are death to pay as your checks start to turn on the option list. But in these pictures you can really see a bare-bones MINI.

The MINI belongs to a unfortunate member of the facebook group ‘NewMINIclub’. Although we this nobody award, the owner is indeed a little to this result prompted. He has the car namely parked in Oss, tokkie-capital of the picturesque North-Brabant and is also the birthplace of former SP-bons Jan Marijnissen. We would be okay to find a couple of rotten tomatoes for the perpetrators to throw, but unfortunately not caught.

A nasty incident you would say, but from any digging in the dark recesses of fakebook comments under the message indicate that the stealing of valuable equipment from MINI’s apparently more common. So is there comments to be read as:

“Be glad that they are still ‘properly’ done. I’ll be happy to know otherwise.”

“Unfortunately recognizable photos. For me it was including airbag damage ( for insurance) 7000 euro…”

“Get more and more messages within or diefstalschades in MINI’s through the insurers. Not a good development!!”

A little further adds a repairer engages in the discussion:

“Is indeed pretty well done…We get them regularly with everything cut off and the dashboard damaged.”

On that second note is then the question of whether you take the entire wiring harness of the car needs to be replaced, which this answer follows:

“No, not at all. You’ll have beautiful repair cables.”

In short, this all suggests that MINI’s are victims of a misdaadgolf. Speaking about a Golf; Volkswagen finally came out from under the ‘Wheel Lock‘ to their customers to protect against steelgrage men. Volkswagen offers two different versions of this anti-theft measure. The RNS Navi Lock’ consists of a top, that is before the device can be placed. The ‘Discover Navi Lock includes a finished cover strip on the dashboard is fitted with a lock. The navigatiecomputer is hereby secured with an additional steel rod. MINI is now also possible with a similar solution.

In the meantime, the case is not Oss friendly. As you turn, you may accounts at a considerable cost. Your insurance will not per se the entire amount. With a little luck it will be up to pay for your MINI.
