DTM in september, to later return to Zandvoort

Good news for Dutch racefanaten: the German racebeesten of BMW, Audi and Mercedes come up to Zandvoort.

It is a public secret that the circuit on the North sea for a while do not completely meet the requirements of large autosportorganisaties. The facilities can be a huge upgrade to use, while also the access to the Circuit Park Zandvoort on busy days for challenges. The Dutch DTM round, missing then for the first time in years on the calendar.

On that calendar was a Chinese race, but the circuit in Guangzhou, however, proved far from finished. DTM promoter ITR had to order at the last moment to find an alternative. That was found in Zandvoort, where the German circus now on the weekend of 27 and 28 september will perch.

The Dutch organisation is now faced with the challenge in two months time enough attention to the grandstands to fill. That proved to be the last few years, harder than before, because there is no Dutch successfully active in the German class. Lovers of thick, German cars have nevertheless something to look forward to.
