Today is the fourth of the fourth, so Quattro-day. No joke. The highest time for a fitting tribute to a lovely Audi with big muscles: the RS6. Admit it, you love it. And we also. Fifteen times and medals at their home race.
It seemed like cursing in the church: two cylinders less and to make it worse to make it even less prancing horses. Exit delicious V10 with a characteristic roar. But what turned out to be Audi’s latest RS6 Avant is not that bad. The numbers in a row: a vierliter Biturbo V8 which is a power of 560 hp and delivers a torque of 700 Nm between 1.750-5.500. 0-100 does the RS6 in 3.9 seconds and is limited to 250. But, with Dynamic Plus pulls it into the 305.
Many find Audi a uniformity. All the same, but in a hundred different shapes and sizes. Sometimes, I agree. But not now. Because this RS6 has a face to be afraid of to be a pattern where many a car manufacturer the best is to look inspired of touch.
Unfortunately, the cookie-cutter image of the Germans, however, reflected in the colours in which the RS6 so far been delivered. Fifty shades of grey and black -matt – and a few white, let alone a blue one. More exciting is the not. Meanwhile, there are, according to us, a sloppy 40 pieces RS6 Avant C7’s sold in the Netherlands. The “Daytona grey” is the most ordered color (16 times), with 10 pcs with pearl effect and 6 pieces with matte varnish. Also, there are 9 units in panterzwart with kristaleffect, 5 units in phantomzwart with pearl effect, 4 units in Nardo grey (aka trash bags-gray), and 4 units in Estoril blue. The rest of the Dutch RS6’and are custom made and the exact color is unknown.
