The DB11 is as sweet scones on the counter

You’ll never guess how many orders Aston Martin all within the DB11.
What, you thought three? Vout! Aston Martin’s CEO Andy Palmer claims that there are just a few weeks after the introduction of the DB11 on the motor show of Geneva already more than 1,400 customers reported, says Palmer:
“I think we’re at more than 1400 orders now, which is great for a car that we’ve not really released the whole details about, and isn’t available to be purchased until September, so yeah, fantastic.”
The sale of the car goes good, and that is good news for the British brand that its sales over the past few years has steadily saw a decline. It may also be in the line of expectation that the DB11 on much interest can count, because the DB9 had been around since 1922 on the market. Aston’s customer base has so long to wait for a worthy successor of their current car. Each year a new DB9 buy as some do with their shopping carts is, after all, too old at any given time. Still hopes to Palmer that there are also new customers tapped:
“We’re getting an awful lot of attention, and generally speaking it seems that people like the DB11. The reaction is almost unanimously popular. Because of, perhaps, the way it’s been designed, perhaps because of the use of the Daimler electronic technology, hopefully that will also attract it to a newer audience as well.”
What do you think, marketing fluff or is the DB11 really so’n schot in de roos? We allow Aston in any case, however, a success, especially if they their promise to manual gearboxes to continue to deliver. (via The Motor Report)
