Waarom het kwalificatiesysteem van de F1 gaat zuigen
Autoblog watching again in the future, and this is what we see.

After we found our puddle did about the upcoming season, we do that now and did it all over for the new qualifications system. The idea that every one and a half minute a rider is ‘eliminated’, would have to contribute to a higher degree of unpredictability.

Where exactly it is about? We have already explained what is going to happen, but here’s a quick refresher.

How does it work?

Q1

Duration: 16 minutes.
– After seven minutes, the slowest rider the next, he falls off.
– Then attacks every 1.5 minutes, the slowest rider, up to seven man have been dropped.

Q2

– Duration: 15 minutes.
– After six minutes of the slowest rider.
– Then again every 1.5 minutes the number was last deleted, until there are eight.

Q3

Duration: 14 minutes.
– After five minutes of the slowest rider.
– Then it is becoming the red lantern bearer, until one driver remains. Who is on pole.

Important: previously, if drivers after the fall of the flag their timed lap finish. That’s passé. In other words: if the flag falls, the session is over. Who, then, at the bottom of the list of active drivers, is to go dress. Even if he is exactly at that time with the best lap ever was working.

In our opinion

Motor racing Formula 1 stands or falls with the extent to which even non-diehard fans to understand what happens. In earlier times it was a mess from the start; perhaps there was refuelled and/or a tire change is carried out, but for the other there was not very much complicated.

Today must be different compounds are used, sit riders all running continuously to frunniken to their steering wheel because of systems such as DRS and KERS and you as the unsuspecting viewer is being bombarded with graphs and other visual delights. Fun for the F1 fan who also really is aware and knows what is for his nose done, but for the layman it can be confusing.

The same possibly applies also for the new kwalificatieformat. Outside of that we don’t expect Mercedes and Ferrari now, suddenly, the back of the starting grid (or Manor and Sauber at the front), it is again become more complicated to understand what happens.

Perhaps in practice all that bad and we are bitchen to nothing, but yet we found not that there really was something wrong with the kwalificatietraining old style. The same is true if we however look in to the past, for the even older system; the training begins at 14:00 and who to 15:00, the fastest time on the clocks it has-within 12 laps – has pole position. Known as well organised. Additionally, look to NASCAR or other racing classes. The simpler the rules, the wider the audience is that appeals to you without the real fan short.
