Ogle Design Aston Martin
Not as elegant as the original, but with only three built, this DBS ‘Sotheby Special by Ogle Design was a bit more unique. In uniquely dire state too.

Although the DBS is already a lot more modern looks than it predecessor the DB6, the end of the ’60s is no ground breaking design. That is a little bit different with the coach that Ogle Design signs. They are among other responsible for high-profile cars like the Reliant Scimitar GTE, and the Bond Bug, but signed, for example, the XP-34 Land Speeder for Star Wars.

In January 1972, the canvas of the Aston Martin DBS Sotheby’s Special pulled. Not named for the auction house, but to premium cigarettes of the sponsor of the project W. O. Wills. Only three copies will be built, of which two copies are in beautiful restored condition. The third, or actually the first, since we’re talking about the original showcar, never came up with license plates and disappeared somewhere in a storage. Then came the car last year, but unfortunately not exactly in the condition in which he was dismissed.

No mark, and by and by rot, the only option to this unique Aston Martin on the road is probably by a DBS to sacrifice as a donor. A technically good, but with doorgeroeste body, something like that. At the end of 2015, the car will be auctioned by H&H for 88.140 pound. The restoration appears likely bigger than thought by the buyer, because who has the car yesterday to put on sale for ‘only’ 63.800 lbs, or about 81.500 euro. Who dares?
