Bye-bye Giulia.
The ‘Car of the Year’-election: such elite-evenementje from bygone times which the ever more increasing lack of relevance is hard to deny, but which we at the same time, but can not stop bitchen. Everyone has a pet peeve, this election of gray gin-drinkers who are not yet aware of the break-up of Indochina and the introduction of women’s right to vote is mine.
In 2014 won the Peugeot 308, the already long not more so desirable award (yes, really) in what is very much a sympathy vote for the ailing PSA group seemed to be, and last year was the new Passat. Now comes the Geneva motor Show (a.s. march) again in sight, where tradition with a new Car of the Year elected. The big list of July, is now reduced to 7 models:
- Audi A4
- BMW 7 Series
- Jaguar XE
- Mazda MX-5
- Opel Astra
- Skoda Superb
- Volvo XC90
This means that the Giulia and in any case, is not (anyway was everything Italian is overboard crabs), and this in itself is also called logical. I love it not impossible that even until 2018 (or longer) time until the Giulia is also actually at the dealer, and a car to COTY crowns while no one can buy it is also so weird.
The 7 Series and XC90 in terms of their innovation in giving me good contenders, but at the same time, also considerably above-average priced. Perhaps the Jag XE as an outsider agree with the price at the get go (has there ever been a Jag won?).
Five of the seven models are also on the Autoblog AvhJ-shortlist, the election which have full democracy. Have you already gestempt in the poll?
