BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition celebrates sales success

The men of BMW are proud that they have the best selling hybrid sports car in the world. And so is the party!!

Admittedly: the BMW i8 is one of the few hybrid sports cars, so it is not very complicated to the best-selling sports car in the world. In fact, they claim with BMW more i8’s built than all other manufacturers of hybrid sports cars added together. In total, 5456 i8’s to a new home, last year. So it is not very strange that the car is doing so well, because a large proportion of the competitors a lot more expensive and often in limited editions will be built. Think of the Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and Ferrari Ritz. But if you have enough niches consider (and BMW is king), then you can also your own parties think.

And so we come to BMW now with the i8 Protonic Red Edition. A BMW i8 carried out in the color (you guessed it) Protonic Red, finished with accents in Frozen Grey. The car is also equipped with a special BMW W-spoke 470 alloy wheels, painted Orbit Grey metallic with matte aluminum finish. The car goes in July for a limited time in production at the factory in Leipzig.
