Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard is the safest

The safest car in the world.

This S600 Guard will debut at the auto show of Geneva (next week) and complies with protection level VR10. That is the highest level for civilian vehicles and the associated guidelines to determine that the bodywork and windows are protected against hardened steel bullets, fired from an assault rifle (assault rifle).

Of course, there is from the outside very little difference with a regular Mercedes-Maybach S600. The list of modifications to the car is long, however. Protective steel is in the cavities between the body and the chassis put to the Maybach sturdy. There is also use made of polycarbonate, which in case of an explosion or collision will not crack.

The price of all this is 470.000,- Euro ex VAT… in Germany. In our own country, that will amount a lot higher. However, it is similar to what Incas asks for a piece of armor, they showed at the end of last year, a S600 with bulletproof shizzle. The Guard versions, Mercedes-Benz, however, go a bit further.
