The subsidise of your new hybrid stekkerauto or uberzuinige start-stop diesel will cost our government 5 billion euros. That is expensive, very expensive. So, not only we, but also the General Court.
You could, of course, on your Dutch clogs feel: all the arrangements around clean cars cost tons of money. Our government correct itself like on the chest in regards to the growth of the number of plug-in hybrids, but is now censured by the General Court. And rightly so. In the period 2007-2013, I had some five billion euros more in our treasure chest may disappear.
Then, The Hague had only a little less generous with the discounts on the aanschafbelasting, road tax and additional tax liability. For every tonne of CO2 that we thanks to all the clean cars, less emissions and costs 1,000 euros! Such a saving was made in other sectors for much less money as possible. That we call, moreover, for years, but now are the master computers of the Court of auditors woken up. Sin that this is only now notice, what else did everyone just yet in his classic ride.
Minister of Finance Jeroen Dijsselbloem gives a response to that already in 2007 it was clear that the policy of the government money it would cost. “We don’t want to correct, due to the fact that we explicitly change the behavior of working”, we read in his response (PDF alert). Yet it seems even he must admit that the costs to be very high sustained: “We will see if we are within the sector or in other sectors, the additional CO2-reduction.”
