Bugatti has the order books for the Veyron is not full, and so there will be a few special editions from the closet. This is number one in a new series of six, the Wimille. Already announced, but now we have the full mep to photos.
On the onthulfeestje around Pebble Beach, Bugatti Jean-Pierre Wimille in addition to his spiritual father, the Type 57G Tank. Both cars are predominantly blue, the national racekleur of France at the time.
Even though Wimille since the end of the years ’40 death (he died in an accident during a qualifying session), his signature is featured on the tank and oil-fill lid, where he ingelaserd. In addition, we get the French tricolor against the stitching on the steering wheel and gearshift.
On above picture you can see the factory riders, ”Williams“, and Veyron (left) together with Wimille (right) and Jean Bugatti between them in a Type 57G Tank posing. Best lot of history in one picture.
Of each legend edition, 3 copies were built. That are so beautiful again 18 Veyrons that will be saved. If you have the name Wimille rather have picked up, in 2008 we had a design project with the same name.
