Spyker has just released its figures for the first half year of 2013 presented. Surprise: they have extra money is needed.

Spyker is currently full of optimism and is on the verge of a new productoffensief, according to CEO Victor Muller. This year We have already made the acquaintance of the B6 Venator Concept at Pebble Beach will be the homeless version of revealed. There is also still worked on the relaunch of an ultra-luxurious SUV.

But enough tales of Victor Luftschloss, now the hard numbers: Spyker knew in the first half of the year with a turnover of 682.000 euro. Something that us in the ears sounds like: there were barely any cars built in Zeewolde. The deal with the Chinese Youngman is at all rondgekomen. Youngman will pay €10 million in two stages: €6.991.980 for 29.9 percent of the shares, €3.008.020 in the form of a loan that later is converted into shares. The operating loss of Spyker eventually amounted to 5.2 million euros. Something that is caused by the lawsuit against General Motors, where they are now almost €2 million on have broken.

There are more money worries. In the outlook of the company is subtly reported that they extra cash is needed to have the B6 Venator, but don’t know how they will get:

Going forward, the Company will, however, need additional funding to finance the introduction, development and production of the Spyker B6 Venator and Venator Spyder, its running costs for the coming years and to continue production (including working capital). Although Spyker’s funding requirements have not yet leg contractually secured, management is confident that such funding will be obtained in the short term

As you can see, has Spyker is confident that they have somewhere an old sock with cash. And given the track record of Spyker and its CEO, she will still be able to make it also. If, however, this is not the case, then the future of Spyker “highly uncertain”, says Spyker.

But the money worries can this weekend just to be set aside, as Victor at Pebble Beach the B6 Venator Spyder will reveal.
