Nederland heeft het schoonste wagenpark van Europa
A European study shows that the emissions of newly registered cars in 2013, on average, 8% lower than in 2012, therefore we are top of the league.

The netherlands had last year 416.000 new registered cars. Together, bumping them an average of 109 grams of CO2 per km, which is 20 grams less than the European average!

From the research by the European environment Agency (EEA) shows, however, that each European country a bit cleaner. The emissions of new registered cars was in 2013 in each country is lower than in 2012. The netherlands scores by 8%, so the highest. The number of registered cars in the Netherlands decreased also; as we know, with 17%.

The cause of the lower emissions is according to the EEA in the economic crisis. The popularity of small, fuel-efficient cars would make a difference (with an average weight of under 1,300 kg). So it’s not so much the tax benefits of the bijtellers. In Europe is the engine capacity in cm3 of new cars sold since 2007 have decreased by 6.7%.
