The press service of the Department of information technology announced the launch of free Internet access via Wi-Fi in the Catherine garden.
The garden has 27 access points, each designed to connect up to 30 users at a time. The overall throughput of the channel reaches 100 Mbit/sec. According to the developers this will allow 500 users to simultaneously access Internet at a comfortable speed. To connect, choose the network Moscow_WiFi_Free from the list of available authentication via SMS, through your account on the services or the uniform mobile platform of Moscow government.
Moscow authorities have also implemented free Wi-Fi for another 19 open areas of the city such as parks, Bicycle paths and pedestrian areas, at present, operates 521 access point to the network.
Interestingly, the Department of information technology also announced the suspension of works on installation of access points Wi-Fi in the Moscow zoo, because some animals are in hibernation. When bears and other animals out of hibernation will be released and the temperature rises to 0 to 5 degrees on average, the work will resume.
