Mazda engineers want more attention for RWD

More models with rear-wheel drive to Mazda’s different than their competitors.
The engineers do, and, of course, we also: more Mazda’s with rear wheel drive. Most new cars have front-wheel drive, what is RWD to a rarity. A pity, because it gives the car just that little bit extra. With FWD you can also easily hoonen and bottom to the outside, but it’s still not the same.
There is just one problem. The top management sees the plan not as sit. They have no desire to bake full of money to put in new designs, as the team of designers and engineers will of course not work for the cat his violin. Mazda has this year made a profit, but they have a difficult period of five years. An expensive project therefore seem to be a not smart idea. The management would rather continue to rely on the success of the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5, all with front wheel drive.
Nevertheless, it would not be impossible to include some more Mazda’s RWD. The Japanese have been working together with Alfa Romeo to sports cars such as the Alfa Spider, based on the new Mazda MX-5. If this is successful, we would still have more rear-wheel drive fun can expect. The Italians are indeed working on a RWD cover. They would the Mazda engineers to support their desire to achieve.
