“But, grandmother, what a big nose!” – “That is to my 27 litre engine will be better.” You read that right, under the hood of these unique Rolls is a huge V12.

The Phantom must by 6.75 litres, this Merlin has four times as much volume. Its maker, John Dodd, spooned a 27 litre V12 Rolls-Royce engine, nicknamed Merlin, in. This G-label-block lay in an earlier life in a Spitfire.
