Video: Chris Froome and Jaguar to drive through the channel tunnel

It was just quite difficult to make the channel tunnel to get through. At least, for anyone who is not a Chris Froome is called.

The British tour winner of 2013 rode there recently with less than 65 kilometers per hour through it. This he did in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the Eurotunnel, which provides the rail link between France and England. Add to this the fact that the Tour de France this year started in England and the idea for this unique stunt was born.

Unique indeed, because it is not obvious that the 50 km between Folkstone and Calais by bike can travel. Froome was even the first tunnelfietser ever saw after just 55 minutes on his Pinarello Dogma F8-bike daylight in Calais. That Dogma F8 was in fact developed in collaboration with Jaguar, a partner of Team Sky, the cycling team of Froome.
