This automotive engineer is doing well in his spare time.
Dutch pimpers, so it must so. In addition to the 19-inch wheels and a new bumper is there, under the surface, still lots more to do. An engineer from California, decided to investigate how many hp he from his 2010 Golf R could get. The counter is now at 700+ hp, and he is, no problems are encountered. Tuning as it should be.
Advantage is of course that he has the means and enough money to spend on this kind of fun things to do. He has the Golf R to a Greek circuit included, but it helps, of course, also with Revo Technik – known for the fastest van at the ‘Ring – work.
The first step to the Golf R tuningsproject was the Stage 1 package of said tuningboer. Not much later, followed the 17-inch MSW wheels underneath, Milltek Turboback exhaust, APR high pressure fuel pump, THS Intercooler and ITG Maxogen koudeluchtinlaat. Due to the Stage 2+ from Revo Technik, better brakes (AP Racing Competition Brake kit), a thick BSH Work of Art turbo kit with Precision Turbo 5830, Audi RS4 injectors, etc. etc. The list keeps going.
For all the violence to be able to catch, was there a better link used. The car runs now with the RS3 DSG7, but if this is slipping, then there is a set of Dodson Motorsport is ready. This 800 Nm of torque to be able to resist and the lucky bastard has, of course, the first copies outside of the company. With friends in the right places, it is slightly easier to get a big bowl of brewing.
The Golf R is still an ongoing project. As there were recently still rings in the bumper for extra air supply, Kerscher Tuning CF splitter, OSIR CF spoiler, 19 inch BBS rims and Michelin rubber. Even a prototype 2.0 TFSI intake manifold!
With such a big bowl, he will certainly be good to sprint when the traffic light motorcycles. Well, no. The Californiër keeps it very tidy for the simple reason that “the rider is more exposed than me to danger and I don’t want something to happen”. He will, of course, plenty of challenges from other cars, but even here he does not. “I’ll keep my calm.”
