Porsche Le Mans
It’s the weekend and that means for many that there will be some free time. A nice moment to your background to be replaced by one of these beautiful Le Mans Porsche-plates.

Porsche 917
Porsche has a great history when it comes to the 24 hours of Le Mans. So, he broke the brand in 1971, the record with the Porsche 917 within the 24 hours, 5335 kilometres to drive. Quite an achievement when you consider that Audi only in 2010 was a better score to put down. The Porsche 917 was powered by a 180 degrees V12. Surrounded by a fiberglass body and lying on a aluminum chassis made for extreme performance. In its peak value, provided the motor using a turbo a thick 1400 horsepower, while the Le Mans remained at 520 hp.

Porsche 936
The Porsche 936 was a hero on wheels. In 1976 won the brand with this car, once again, the 24 hours of Le Mans. The 936 is largely based on the 917, the engine was however replaced by an air-cooled six-cylinder engine with turbo. This time is good for 540 hp.

Porsche 935
In 1978 built Porsche a new Le Mans car. The 935, also known as the “Moby Dick”, was that year’s third and finished just behind Renault’s legendary Alpine. Porsche had recently, the 924 and 928, was introduced and put at the same time, also in the Le Mans is a big step. The air cooled engine was replaced by a water-cooled four. With 750 hp and a car weight of 1030 kg, the Porsche is the fastest on the right track.

Porsche 956
The Porsche 956 was the Le Mans car for 1982, and that was not a wrong choice of Porsche. Powered by a 635 hp 2.7-liter and equipped with the world’s first dual clutch transmission ended the three Porsche 956’s on place 1, 2 and 3.

Porsche 911 GT1
In 1998, the success continued with a 911 GT1, so one with the ugly traanogen. Thanks to problems at the competition knew Porsche the first and second place to win. This put the Germans in a record. Never knew a mark of 16 victories to score at Le Mans.

Next year, Porsche is back in the top class of Le Mans. The LMP1-racer should be a worthy successor for the above mentioned racers. That Porsches have their place on your background, so twice deserves. Even though the resolution may not be suitable for you tig inches big 4K screen, the gallery is certainly worth the effort.
