Magnum MK5
Lightweight, focused cars sit a lot in the elevator the last few years. Get to know version number 173, the MK5, the Canadian Magnum Cars.

The MK5 is intended as a track day toy, but can also continue on the public roads. In the open two-seater are composite materials like carbon fiber and aluminum from the lachtvaartindustrie processed, because that is apparently better and stronger than the other, inferior aluminum.

You feel it coming: this is not a cheap car. 139.000 USD (slightly more than 100,000 euros) Magnum there for, exclusive of taxes.

What do you get for this amount, performance-wise? An unspecified gespecifeerde four-cylinder mid-engine with 250 hp and a redline of 11,000 rpm. Wow, that sounds like a motorfietsblok. 0-100 comes in 3.2 seconds, the top is 240 km/h, and dry weighs this speedster 545 kg, he is a neat (almost) 460 bhp per ton, just as much as the Caterham Seven 485.

The cart measures 3.914 mm x 1.884 mm x 1.069 mm, and it rolls on 18-inch performancerubber. The rear is a helping hand with a backup camera. All the specs look here.

The Magnum MK5 connect to in the list of VUHL 05 (from that other neighbour of the US, Mexico), Spartan V, BAC Mono, and so on. Choice for the track day fanatic, with a thick stock exchange.

More Canadian autovertoon? Look to the Macross GT1, guy. And how aboot that HTT Plèthore, how is it really there, friend?
