One from the category of: why is this thing never built?!
From the studios of Bertone (✝) came in the early ’90s this Lotus Emotion to the outside reels. Based on the Esprit had this snazzy car a 2.2-liter four-cylinder on board, thanks to a turbo good for 264 horsepower. Not astonishing much by today’s standards, but it whizzed Emotion to the 100 in 5 count. Top speed of this little car (405 cm long, 190 cm wide) was located somewhere above the 270 km/h. Please note, however, that were goals and not measured numbers.
To the extent that the dry facts, because there is a rather interesting story to this car. There go rumors that Bertone this body (without Lotus badges on the Bugatti EB110 wanted screws, but unfortunately lost the battle of Mercello Gandini. When the Bugatti adventure failed, there was soon a Lotus, in the hope that the men in Hethel ‘m going to use as inspiration for the new Esprit.
That party did not by and so is the beautiful body never went into production. Too bad, because we are pretty sure that a car inspired by this Emotion, however, was a success. If it was only because of that kickass rims.
The back does however take some thought to which of the current McLaren 650S (MP4-12C), the front looks like that of the Jaguar XJR-15 and the elongated forward brings memories of the monstrous and relatively unknown Edonis above. With right a particular thing, Emotion.
