Porsche records GT5-badge as a trademark

Porsche Cayman GT4 krijgt wellicht GT5 broertje?
After all, there is nothing wrong with a new label for another variant in your range of models, right?

Autocar reports that Porsche is the GT5 badge simultaneously with the GT4 badge in the contract. In August 2014, the application was done and in October was this request approved by the German trademark register. In January, Porsche also the European trademark register asked for recognition, but that request is still pending.

I leave with one thing first and foremost: I’m a fan of the finer driving shoes Porsche. And if there is even a rumor about a touch of hope in a model that has a type designation beginning with “GT” is going to appear, I forced the entire internet to F5. At the same time, I find it insane that Porsche is so endlessly much variantjes and flavours. And now it is confirmed that Porsche is the GT5-label has patented, the brand to me a bit too far. And there are a number of reasons.

First of all: where do they want that badge to go and paste? Chances are, Porsche this label on a Panamera or Macan wants to use (the sports cars do not seem logical), but those cars with a label inspired by the racing world is going a little far, it seems to me.

And spoken about it I arrive at point two: GT5 is not a racing series. That makes it a bit of a blank badge, don’t you think? So why does Porsche do this?

There is still a variantje under the Cayman GT4? A kind of unlimited, more accessible version? It would be nice to have, as a murmur that the GT4 is already off the order lists is due to the overwhelming demand for the car. Or is there still a Macan or a Panamera with more sportgenen than a GTS? Or is it just a gevalletje “just in case” of Porsche and they do there nothing at all? Secretly I hope on that last one, if only because we still a little bit of the overview may be retained in the range of Porsche.
