CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann has a good nose for opel’s heritage, as appears.
With the introduction of the new Astra proved once again: volumemerken can no more afford to have to cars with the heart to build. Not crazy too, because with the hot breath of the auditor in your neck should be a model now, once score.
Don’t get us wrong, new cars are of course not per definition ugly. At the most boring or predictable design. Fortunately, Opel in the past also several times, showing nice cars to build. Remember the old GT and more recently, to the Speedster.
Another example from den ouden doosch is this 347 Diplomat A V8 Coupé. From 1965 to 1967, there were 347 built, each equipped with a 5.4-litre Small Block V8. Neumann drive in the >last version that was built, that is painted in a great color green. We find ‘m cool and definitely CEO-worthy.

UPDATE: the Diplomat turns out to be a Dutch past, see the photo below. The car has recently only sold to Karl-Thomas Neumann and is from the same collection as the brand-new Monza and Manta with 96 km on the counter.
