And then you turn the key to: *nail, nail, ratchet, smoke*. But seriously: this Focus ST Diesel has the name and the looks, but explains it in terms of performance yet significantly compared to the benzinebroer.

Under the hood of the Focus is a nice thick 2.0 litre TDCi with 185 hp and 400 Nm. The relatively large block for this segment to guarantee a smeuiige power output and smooth torque curve. There is easily more power out of the engine (in the Mondeo is a 210-hp variant is possible), but because of the competition from for example VW, this does not work, there was a Ford not a reason a really hot diesel.

Don’t get us wrong, the specs are certainly not sick but we had yet for a solution a la Seat chosen: the FR-label there shows good sportsmanship, but will position the products under the Cupra label, which will not be watered down.

The looks of this one and only STD where we’re not itching to get there must be essence: thick bumpers, black chicken wire in the grille, and nice black 19 inchers with a good view of the brakes. Here we would be getting used as a daily driver.
