Bizarre: Honda will send a Le Mans racer for Pikes Peak [updated]

You see, normally not the most everyday vehicles during the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, but Honda makes this year very fur.
The Japanese take namely the HPD ARX-04b to the hillclimb. These LMP2-racer driving normally laps during races like the 24 hours of Le Mans, but it looked like Honda might be a good idea to have the car under different conditions to test. Former Formula 1 driver Justin Wilson may get behind the wheel.
The HPD ARX-04b was developed by Honda and Wirth Research, and thanks to its 3.5-liter V6 with twin-turbo not only extremely fast, but also relatively economical. Honda is also curious how the car will hold at Pikes Peak, where the chassis of the car will undoubtedly be heavily impacted.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb takes place this year on 28 June, so the Honda is next week already see it in action.
UPDATE 26-06-15: After problems with the turbo and there from resulting engine damage, Honda decided not with the LMP2-racer to take part in the Pikes Peak Hillclimb.
