A proverbial hammer and not drumsticks, so, let that be clear. According to some, the most beautiful Maserati ever made and is so popular that there are now three times as many Ghibli Spyders than there ever have been built.
That last might ask for some explanation. There were originally only 128 Spyders built by Maserati, compared to 1170 dense Ghibli’s, this yellow copy is the very first Spyder. The rarity of the Spyder, plus the fact that open cars are usually more popular, has quite a lot of people decide to do the slijptop in their compartment. Eternal sin, of course, but so it was (and sometimes still) now once.
Giorgetto Giugiaro put the gorgeous lines of the Ghibli, which in 1967 came on the market, on paper. At that time, he worked for Ghia. In 1968, presented the brand on the Turin auto show a prototype for an open-Ghibli: this copy. This differs this model to the details of the final production model. Not that that Maserati from just the prototype to sell to a customer.
Due to the fact that this Ghibli more than thirty years on, a good way is stored, is the car still in very good, unrestored condition. To RM Sotheby’s now the honor to bring the Ghibli to a new owner, to help, a fine percentage opstrijkend of the probably more than 1 million euro that the car will muster.
