The Glowing Smart Highway, where we already reported is still in full swing developed.
Since some time, the Glowing Lines all going on at the N329. The lines to take during daylight, energy and rays that than during the night in the form of visible light. The lines should provide a better overview for road users and increased safety.
The project, an initiative of artist and designer Daan Roosegaarde, is technically carried out by construction company Heijmans, is the last time developed further and tested on user experience and sustainability. So soon to be pilots in the program in China and Tokyo. But even in their own country is there to the profile itself. Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment Schultz has Roosegaarde prompted a new design for the Afsluitdijk, based on the Smart Highway concept as a new Dutch icon.
On 12 november, the Van Gogh-Roosegaarde bicycle path in Nuenen is opened that makes use of the already proven technique. This path, which is part of the historic van Gogh route in Neunen, the user will have the possibility to offer the work “starry night” of vincent van Gogh in a modern way.
