The Ferrari 288 GTO exist thirty years and that you can only one way to celebrate: with a modern version.

If you are sentimental Italian classics, then it is time to take the other side to look. The 288 GTO (1984) was actually a thoroughbred racer, who served as homologatiemodel for a Group of B-rallykanon of Ferrari. That came eventually, but the 288 GTO makes a lot of lovers still for goose bumps.

That was the only 17-year-old Steve Morfouasse on an idea. He put 200 hours in a 288 GTO-makeover for the Ferrari 458 and we have to admit: we’d best agree to the tooth want to feel. The sleek, angular design, the 458 very well.

Morfouasse has his masterpiece (in theory, but what does it matter) feature a twin-turbo V8 with an output of 700 hp. That would be the 458 GTO in 2,6 seconds the 100 km/h can pick up, while you adjust to 334 km/h to its top speed. (via: Carscoops)
