The first half of 2015 is on, and the automotive accountants have calculated how many vehicles there exactly worldwide have been deposed. Whip ’em out, boys!

The game of ‘who has the most cars sold, it’s mainly for bragging rights, shareholders will find a high profit margin generally more interesting. However, this does not mean that manufacturers like to top the lists of best-sellers cars.

In the last few years, it is very close between GM, Toyota, and Volkswagen. The Japanese picked up in 2014 still just in the lead, but on H1 2015 should they just sit at the Volkswagen group. VAG put 5,04 million vehicles, the Toyota group 5,02 million.

Incidentally, the number of passenger cars sold is much lower, groups count, of course, all sell together, so also commercial vehicles and, in the case of VAG – trucks MAN and Scania.
