That sports car of Hyundai, will he ever come?

All signals are at red…
Hyundai got it in 2014 on the hips, with plans for a sports car. A type of cars that we have, since the demise of the Azera and Genesis is somewhat missing in the line-up of the Koreans. This idea was also nurtured by the PassaCorto Concept, a 840 kg weighing gem that in collaboration with a design school of Turin came into existence, and we like to battle with Alfa’s 4C saw.
The Koreans seem back to scribbling. Hyundai ceo Allan Rushforth was the one that the sports car story in the world bring, but the company has now left for a job at Nissan. And Hyundai chief Tony Whitehorn says now against Autocar that a sports car is not a good business case. F*#ck!
“Not many people make money out of sports cars. The sports car market is shrinking dramatically, and even firms with heritage and a great product are struggling. Aside from the Audi TT and Mazda MX-5, it is a tough place to be.”
So to hear the accountantsafdeling no imagobuilder. Or maybe they want it, but not as they should focus. What is to say, of course – there is unfortunately no Piëch to head a prestigious project through press – but I still regret it.
Where Hyundai will do is the N performance division roll-out, a counterpart to Volkswagen’s R-section.
