Caterham en Marussia hebben het zwaar
The are noisy weeks in autosportland. Caterham and Wagered miss the Us Grand Prix and it is still the question of whether we would ever see again. How can we make the Formula 1-shine again?

Caterham and Wagered made as Hispania their debut in 2010. At the time it was intended that up to 100 million euros per year team to manage and run, but in the year 2014 we can say that money is also now reigns in the king’s class of motorsport. It is not for nothing that only Wagered in five seasons managed to pass on a tip to address.

Now is looming for both teams, a bankruptcy and there are in Austin, but eighteen cars at the start. It was a long time ago that we have such a meagre starting field saw, but it is not the time to be complaining. Also Sauber and Lotus would be the financial anything except easy, so it seems to us high time to take a good look at the viability of the Formula 1 to watch.

The class has one big problem: his history. Each development is compared to the time of James Hunt, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Yes, once, it was impossible without earplugs in the stands to sit and yes, ever flew the pieces of rubber around the ears, but that is not a better right to talk by the lenders: car manufacturers or multinationals.

This brings us back to the biggest problem of the sport: the manufacturers and big sponsors have the power, while the “little ones” barely afloat. Are Wagered and Caterham again next year on the grid? It is unlikely, because any new owner should really invest heavily to one of these teams to succeed. We are talking about hundreds of millions of euros, an amount that not just everyone has.

What options are there then? What us is concerned, there are three realistic scenarios, where there are two to ensure a representative number of participants. We are curious to find out what option you are most to see.

1. Caterham and Wagered to their fate left and we see next year a maximum of 18 cars. Then it has to be seen whether Haas F1 (and Audi?) 2016.

2. The remaining teams set required three cars, and we will see next year, 24 cars, with the possibility that a team like Mercedes, the entire stage is occupied.

3. The teams support teams as well as Wagered and Caterham by providing them with one complete car. Wagered and Caterham continue with one car per team, so we have a grid of 20 cars.

Update (07-11): Unfortunately, it is Wagered have not been able to nd a buyer, as a result, the renstal is bankrupt. All 200 employees have been sent home and the cars will be at the remaining grands prix no longer be at the start, so notifies the administrator.
