A six-in-line with ample power, a beautifully contoured body and a better chassis: we call that a happy-ending.

M-Performance
The M-Performance models (M550d, X5 M50d, and M135i) fill the gap between the M3, M4, M5, M6 and the regular BMW’s. More than a M-sport package and the oh-so-important M-badge is not added. In fact, if you have some options to check are the external differences between a 218d and M235i at least. The engines are also not reserved for the M Performance models, the 35i engine is indeed pretty much the entire BMW range available.
Nice, but a bit anonymous
If I have one thing from the 1-series not a fan, it was the styling of the front. The 2-series will have happy another voorkantje, which some tuners as an improvement even on the 1-series screws. Also its predecessor is in terms of styling surpassed: the gedrongene where some trouble had with the 135i Coupe is gone. The length grew by 72 mm, width 32 mm and the wheelbase by 30 mm.
Despite the fact that this is the thickest 2-series is that you can currently get, and that color on the Dutch road network stands out, kept reactions. Normally there are always people who at this calibre of car a thumb up stitches, a stoplichtsprintje want to do or the camera to hand. It shouldn’t be for the M235i, should you look for in a car then we recommend you to save up for the M3 or M4.
Performance: a thick enough
A fat motor in a not too large carriage: which is almost always a winning combination. The six-in-line Twinpower turbo does everything what you expect from him. The available maximum often (326 hp, to be exact) is more than sufficient to the limited top speed of 250 km/h. Also, the sprint sets the zespitter not disappoint. With manual gearbox, there should be exactly 5 seconds 100 on the counter, the eight speed automatic transmission with launch control is 4.8 seconds, slightly faster. The GLA45 AMG does it in exactly the same time and the A45 AMG is even 0.2 seconds faster.
Temper
The balance in the M235i is wonderful, although with a little too much speed into the corners first, understeer occurs. If you have the entry speed well, it turns out that the M235i is very exact. Unless you are a hooligan, there’s a way and the back aware forces. With 326 hp and 450 Nm on the rear axle that is definitely in short bends no issue. The M235i is quite tailhappy, especially under wet and cold conditions. In addition, BMW has to the criticism of the M135i listened to it, and so there is a mechanical limited slip differential available. The barrier stands in the price list of the M Performance accessories range, and is seemingly derived from the firm Drexler.
What you need to know
“Are the options that you necks.” That is what I first thought, but it is perhaps especially the not very spacious basic equipment that the price of a M235i increases. Do you want luxury such as leather, navigation and metallic paint, than is the case with the cut to pull. The testauto even came on 72.030 euro, without really exotic things on the options list (check the rekenfoutje in the video). For the leaserijders among you, it is nice to know that the 220d with auto transmission is eligible for the 20% bijtellingstarief.
The M235i with automatic transmission costs 59.221 euro. The version with manual gearbox is by a slightly higher CO2 emissions even 59.500 euro. The tax benefit of the reduction in CO2 emissions, incidentally, is more than 3,000 euros, so the “free” automatic transmission that BMW with shields is a cigar from their own box. MOVIE!
