By Ferrari F1 engineers established ATS loves lightweight. That resulted in the Sport 1000, a circuitkanon with a somewhat inspiratieloze name, built from a tubular frame made of STAINLESS steel surrounded with a body of fiberglass and kevlar. And a gigaspoiler to a downforce of 1150 kg to achieve.

Also on aandrijfgebied they go for the light, and mount to your heart’s content viercilinders from the motorfietscollectie of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki or MV Agusta. The capabilities vary, but the weight fluctuates -dry – will always be around 380 kg.

The street legal version is called the ATS Sport 1000 Street, and weighs the necessary adjustments to slightly less than 500 kg. The rear wheels are powered by the engine for the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and passes in this ATS the 200 hp mark. 500 kg at 200+ hp, you charge but what is the fun factor.

The price for this street-racer number plates? A paltry €43.500. Okay, if you extend it to pounds per euro is quite pricey. But still: for less than half a tonne of the paths on the lanes with your F1-car-wannabee is a fun prospect.
