Turkey takes scientists on

ANKARA –

Turkey has the twelve scientists were arrested because they have a petition had been signed with a call to all military operations in the southeast of the country to cease. The army fighting regular supporters of the banned Kurdish workers ‘ Party (PKK).

Justice, in the northwestern province of Kocaeli started an investigation against 21 academics who signed a petition along with over 1100 others had signed. Friday, police raided at the scientists. The twelve who were at home, were included. The nine others are also still up for grabs, let justice know.

The arrests come days after president Recep Tayyip Erdogan academics had accused of “terrorist propaganda”. The violence in the predominantly Kurdish southeast of Turkey has flared up after the ceasefire between the state and the PKK in July ended.
