At the beginning of this year, Chevrolet’s new Volt. Of previous generation of this plug-in hybrid was also an Opel version of the Ampera. Should that come back or are they allowed the Volt’s location in the United States?
Initially, the Opel Ampera is a great success in the Netherlands. It was one of the first plug-inhybrides and at the time did not be added. In 2013, there were also 2207 on Dutch registration. In 2014, when the Ampera in the 7% category fell, remained the number of copies sold of stitches on a very meager 41 copies. The Volt already did not get better, that went from 745 to 6 registrations. We can, however, this decrease not only remove the higher tax, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and Volvo V60 Plug In Hybrid remained namely do sell well.
At this moment, there are simply too many alternatives that the 39.990 euro-dollar Ampera difficult to make. The larger Outlander is just as expensive as the powerful VW Golf GTE two thousand euros cheaper. The cheapest plug-inhybrides are the Ford C-Max Plug In Hybrid and the Toyota Prius Plug In Hybrid. The Ford costs just 35 mille, the Toyota is with 34.450 euro the cheapest plug-in of the moment. Not that that the car is profitable, explains, incidentally, but that is a different story.
If Opel with a second-generation Ampera, on the basis of the new Chevrolet Volt, any chance of success wants, then you will especially need to work at a low starting price (and corresponding low leasetarieven). If you do not succeed to the Ampera for less than 35 mille -and perhaps less – in the market, then we consider the car won’t stand a chance.
