CES 2016: Nikon introduced flagship SLR D5

Four years after the release of the SLR camera D4 in 2012 Nikon has introduced its successor at CES 2016, which runs from 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas. New flagship full-frame DSLR received the name Nikon D5.



According to the manufacturer, Nikon D5 built for speed and precision, it is equipped with a 153-point AF system of the new generation with 99 sensors are cross-type. The camera is equipped with 20.8-megapixel CMOS sensor FX-format (35.9 x 23.9 mm) and a new processor image processing EXPEED 5. The sensitivity extended to 3 280 000 units ISO, and the standard range is from 100 to 102 400 ISO.

The camera is capable of capturing video in ultracheap 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) at up to 30 frames per second and in Full HD resolution (1080p) — with a frequency of up to 50 frames per second. Burst shooting speed up to 12 frames per second. Nikon D5 is equipped with a 3.2-inch touch screen and supports USB 3.0. U.S. sales will begin in March at an estimated price of $6500 without the kit lens.
