Not all people have the chance to see these structures in person, so many of us know about them only from films and books. Statue of Liberty in the USA

Statue of Liberty— one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, located on Liberty Island in New York. This monumental sculpture, donated by France in 1886, symbolizes the path to freedom and independence. The crowns on the head with seven points are a symbol of the 7 continents or 7 seas.

Tutankhamun's Golden Mask

World landmarks are not only majestic buildings, but also historical artifacts, such as the famous Tutankhamun mask. We are used to seeing its front part, where the royal image of the pharaoh is decorated with semi-precious stones. But have you seen it from behind? Usually, only visitors to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo can see the mask of the Egyptian king from this angle.

The Great Sphinx in Egypt

Since we are talking about Ancient Egypt, we will not ignore another famous landmark – the Great Sphinx. This giant sculpture in Giza, carved from a single piece of limestone, amazes with its size: the length is 73 meters, and the height is 20 meters. We are used to seeing its frontal part, with a majestic lion's body and a human face, but the back of the Sphinx, for most people, remains a mystery.

Now that we can look at the Sphinx from behind, a whole new perspective on this ancient statue opens up. Where the front seems so majestic and familiar, the back may reveal completely different, unexpected details.

Pyramids of Giza in Egypt

The pyramid complex at Giza is another of the most famous wonders of antiquity. We usually see these grandiose structures in photographs taken by tourists from the ground, where the pyramids majestically rise above the surrounding landscape. But imagine what these pyramids look like from a bird's eye view!

From above, you can see not only the three pyramids – Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure – but also their stunning surroundings. Against the backdrop of the pyramids, Cairo, a modern metropolis, stretches out, which contrasts sharply with the ancient complex.

Arc de Triomphe in Paris

Arc de Triomphe, along with the Eiffel Tower, one of the most iconic monuments of Paris. We are used to seeing it from the front and, admittedly, it is impressive with its majestic forms. But from a great height, against the backdrop of the city, we again did not see it.

From above, the arch reveals a whole new world. We see not only its decorative details, but also the impressive surroundings. This unusual perspective allows us to appreciate the scale of the monument in the context of its surroundings and understand how it fits into the Parisian cityscape.

Stonehenge in England

Stonehenge — one of the most mysterious archaeological structures in the world. It is located in an open area in Wiltshire, England, about 130 kilometers from London. This ancient structure consists of huge stone blocks arranged in a ring and horseshoe shapes.

Some scientists believe that Stonehenge was a sacred place of ancient pagans or an astronomical calendar, but its true purpose remains unclear. Also, scientists are not sure who and how built such a complex structure. Despite numerous studies and restorations, including large-scale work in the 20th century, Stonehenge still holds many secrets. We have seen them from many angles, but from above – very unlikely.

Mona Lisa in the Louvre

“Mona Lisa”— is not just a painting, but a real mystery in the field of art. Created by Leonardo da Vinci in the early 16th century, it still amazes people around the world. The image of the mysterious woman, believed to be Lisa Gherardini, is kept in the Louvre in Paris and attracts millions of visitors every year.
