This is a fantasy action movie based on the role-playing games of the same name from publisher Bethesda Softworks. According to the plot, in 2077, a conflict arises between countries due to a lack of useful resources, which leads to a nuclear war. As a result of numerous nuclear strikes, billions of people die, but some manage to escape in the Vaults. The series takes place two hundred years later, in 2296, when people have established life inside bunkers and built a new society. To continue the family line, they are forced to look for a mate in other Shelters, instead of money they use caps, and bandits and mutants operate on the dangerous surface. Could the world after a real nuclear war look like the one in the series?

Post-apocalypse in “Fallout”
In the world of “Fallout”, the population of the Earth has been greatly reduced, and the survivors live in underground shelters, inside of which their former life is simulated. For example, the main character of the series named Lucy was born and raised in Vault 33. Inside it, some semblance of the American state of Nebraska is recreated, but this is just an illusion created with the help of huge displays.

Due to population decline, people from different shelters have to exchange men and women to prevent incest. They cannot get to the surface because there is still a high level of radiation there. In addition, there are raiders operating there – bandits who are ready to kill anyone for their own benefit.

Mutants in the Fallout series
In the radioactive world of Fallout, the surface (wasteland) is also full of mutants. For example, one of the main characters of the series is a ghoul – a man who, due to radiation exposure, lost his fat tissue and skeletal muscles, losing his appearance. Before the disaster, he was a former military man who became an actor, and after the nuclear explosion, he was a mercenary with a tough character.

The series also shows a mutant gullet, which reaches enormous sizes and has fingers instead of teeth. This is the result of cruel experiments on crossing people and animals in one of the Shelters.
