Ashok Chandak, president of the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), noted that the decision Tesla's creation of an ecosystem of local suppliers of electronics and subsystems shows that the company is not dependent on just one market. He emphasized the importance of local sourcing of semiconductors.
