Lara Croft recognized as the most iconic gaming character in history

Mario and Sonic also entered the top 20. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) named the most iconic character who has most influenced the culture of video games in history. Out of 20 The leader of the nominees was Lara Croft. This heroine first appeared in 1996 in the Tomb Raider series of games.

In the following places are Mario, Agent 47 from the Hitman games, Sonic the Hedgehog from Sonic the Hedgehog from Sega, and the rag doll Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet.

The top twenty winners also included Pacman, Link, Master Chief, Kratos and Shadowheart, Arthur Morgan, Pikachu, Steve (Minecraft), Solid Snake, Crash Bandicoot, Cloud Strife, Astarion, Kazuma Kiryu, Ellie from The Last of Us and Nathan Drake.
