Scientists propose to carry out the operation in stages: first to treat cataracts, and then, after some time, glaucoma. This avoids problems with the outflow of intraocular fluid and increased eye pressure, which can occur in the presence of a defect in the zonules of Zinn.

Researchers note that a complication associated with zonules of zinn occurs in a third of patients, and often leads to complications during operations. The new technique allows us to cope with these problems, increasing the success of surgery and reducing the risk of complications.
