Specialists from the F.A.C.C.T. Cybersecurity Center identified 462 new domains used to steal Telegram accounts. These domains publish stories about voting in competitions with fake links to login and password entry pages.
In a message from F.A.C.C.T. It is noted that the attacks are aimed at Russian media managers, marketers, journalists and PR specialists. Experts explained that scammers add a potential victim to a group and ask her to vote for a contest participant, after which they redirect the user to a fake site to enter data.
When clicking on a link and entering personal information, the user becomes a victim of an attack: attackers gain access to his Telegram account. After capturing one account, scammers add the victim’s contacts to similar groups for further attacks.
