Alive and well, but it’s better not to repeat him A German man who received 217 vaccinations against COVID-19 over two years offered valuable information about the safety and effectiveness of these vaccines, writes New Atlas. Researchers from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg studied the case of a man who was initially suspected of attempting to illegally sell vaccination cards. Discuss© Ferra
One of the major concerns was “immune exhaustion,” where frequent vaccinations could weaken the immune system. However, the man showed exceptionally high levels of antibodies and T cells directed against the virus, indicating a strong immune response. His overall immune function also remained healthy.
Remarkably, the man did not report any side effects from the vaccination despite receiving it daily for several months. He also had no indication that he had ever been infected with COVID-19. Even after receiving an additional dose of the vaccine during the study, he developed an effective antibody response.
Stressing that this is a unique case, lead researcher Kilian Schober emphasizes its importance: “This observation… indicates that the drugs were well tolerated.” It confirms that for vulnerable populations it is recommended to use three doses of the drug with regular dose increases.
