The program allows children with autism to learn new skills, such as traffic rules, going to the store, traveling on public transport and others, in a safe virtual environment, minimizing stress. The VR application has already been successfully tested on teenagers with ASD, showing positive results.
According to the developers, the application creates the most realistic scenarios in which the child is completely immersed, learning and developing in a virtual environment. Similar IT solutions are successfully used in other countries.
Currently, the project team continues testing, and in the future plans to adapt the program for use at home without the participation of a specialist. This step opens up new opportunities for helping children with ASD in their daily lives.
