Volvo will use 360-degree cameras to help drivers put their cars in the right position, and when they are in the right place, the taxi's batteries will be automatically charged. An image published by Momentum Dynamics shows an electric car charging at a rate of 41kW.

EVs will travel more than 12 hours a day and are expected to travel up to 100,000 km per year. Momentum Dynamics has also teamed up with Jaguar to test wireless charging in electric taxis in Norway.

The concept of putting charging technology on the road is hardly new, but it hasn't caught on yet. However, researchers and engineers are working on other ways to charge electric vehicles while driving.
