According to RBC, Roskomnadzor introduced new restrictions “in connection with the dissemination of unreliable socially significant information on the subject of a special military operation in Ukraine.”

The department said they would lift the slowdown if Twitter removed all materials that do not suit Roskomnadzor and are prohibited in Russia.
The other day, the agency also began to slow down Facebook. In response, the social network removed monetization and banned advertising from Russian state media. YouTube took the same measures – it banned these media outlets from making money on the platform.
