As part of a review on the GECID.com channel, experts tested the performance of a system based on the Core i7-12700K by running it on Windows 10 and Windows 11. A total of 10 games were tested, including Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, Dota 2, Far Cry 6 , Forza Horizon 5, God of War, Halo Infinite, Hitman 3, Rainbow Six: Siege, Troy: A Total War Saga.

You can see measurements of some of the games below. It should be noted that in general, the system on Windows 10 showed worse results than on Windows 11. However, at times this difference was quite insignificant: for example, in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla in 1080p on ultra settings with DX12 it was only 1 fps – 117 fps on Windows 10 and 118 fps on Windows 11 on average. The lowest frame rate was in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p with the ultra preset and DX12: 70 fps on average on Windows 10 and 68 fps on Windows 11; the highest is in Rainbow Six: Siege at 1080p on ultra settings with DX11: 452 fps and 471 fps on average, respectively.

Generally speaking, in individual benchmarks, Windows 11 does outperform, but on average, this advantage is only 3 percent. In games, the situation is much more interesting. So, in some projects (Cyberpunk 2077, God of War, Halo Infinite) Windows 10 gives performance slightly better than Windows 11. However, in others like Dota 2, Far Cry 6 it is much more comfortable to play with Windows 11, the presenter notes. The new version of the Windows operating system indeed in most cases loads performance threads more evenly, which has a particularly good effect on the statistics of rare and very rare events. The latter figures are just on average and turn out to be 20-30 percent higher on Windows 11 than on Windows 10.
